Corn snakes are the easiest to care for because they're not really tropical but more desert like snakes. The really just need a heat lamp (50 watts if you get a baby corn snake), Zoo Med Aspen Snake Bedding, some faux foliage, half domed log, and a water bowl.
Other snakes sometimes need humidifiers, damp soil, many branches, ect. Corn snakes are the cheapest and easiest to care for. They also come in many colors.
