I don't know the exact answer for the weight, but I am guessing 200-300lbs. Elephants are usually Grey in color and yes they are mammals. A mammal is defined by certain characteristics such as: hair, live births (no eggs), breath air. There are some exceptions like the platypus which lays eggs.
