  • It depends on where you live, but most states require a practical demonstration of ability, or certificate of completion of a motorcycle rider training course of some sort. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation is a good place to start. Try this web site to find licensing requirements for your state...

  • Where I'm from you can pay to take the written test only. Once you've passed it - you get a temp license, which allows you to ride during daylight hours only & without passengers. (you dont need a bike to do this). Secondly, you can take a weekend motorcycle safety course (highly recommended) which uses motorcycles provided by the company giving the course. The safety course acts as the skills test the driver license division would require, so once you pass you are elgible for a license.

  • yes for your permit

If you attend a training program some have bikes you can use to get the license
