my cat is having trouble eating and drinking?

My cat is 22 and he is not eating much and just stares at the water bowl so I started hand giving it to him with a dropper. I going to take him to a vet soon but does any body have idea what it could be or should fear the worst to come

    Unfortunately it probably just means that he's getting old and succumbing to his age. I'd get him to a vet as soon as you can in case it's a condition that could be possibly treated with medication. At that age, I would brace myself for the worst but hope for the best.
