How can I tell the difference between a male and a female balloon molly?
I am going to get more fish this week, I have already got 1 balloon molly and I want to get 2 more, but I have forgotten if the one I have is female or male, so how can I tell the difference? ,,, Because I don't want to have males and females together because when I have previously done that, they had babies and it was to much hassle....

The molly will display a Gonopodium if it is male. This is a modified fin that wraps around itself and becomes conical in shape. http://www.aboutfishonline.com/images/platygonopod...
Females lack this fin. Instead they have a rounded fin in its place. http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/attachments/a/13047d1...
This feature is distinctive to livebearers such as platy, mollies, endlers, and guppies.
Look at it's anal fin. The male's anal fin has a point called the gonopodium. While female lacks of gonopodium and it just looks like a normal fin.
males have a more pointed anal fin and the females anal fin is much rounder
If it has a penis, it's male.
