Just got hierd at jiffy lube. What all do I need to know?

I mean what should I know about cars beside how to change the oil?

  • Master of the third Pedal, and Forgotten ways of the Manual Transmission, because I don't drive an automatic car.

  • You need to know how to spell "hired", apparently. I'm assuming Jiffy Lube will provide some sort of training for you.

  • They are going to train you. Your job will essentially be changing different fluids on cars, as well as some other basic maintenance like fuel filters and what not.

Other than that there will be inspections you'll do.

They have on-site literature as well as computer programs that will tell you about the car you are working on, what parts it needs, what services at what km, etc.

If you have basic knowledge of cars, you're good.

  • simply ask to be given good direction to company policy's for the correct processes which you are required to follow to ensure the stands of the business are up held. then watch and observe everything and if you are not clear, ask a question.
