What are some really good headphones no more than $100?

I hat these ear bud things they make my ears ache and fall out all the time. Do you know of any headphones that are comfortable to wear and sound great?

    I don't know where you listen to music, but the "open phones" are not useful outside because people around you WILL hear your music. Also, full-size headphone are not ideal for portable use because they are rather big and usually have longer cords.
